Sunnyvale is a big part of Silicon Valley, being the 7th largest city by population in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sunnyvale is found within the Santa Clara County, and its population is 140,000 people. San Jose is to its North and Los Altos to the Southeast.
It is also home to several aerospace and defense companies. Several other high tech firms are also domiciled in Sunnyvale. Onizuka Air Force Station is also located there. The color and unique shape of the windowless building which houses the station has since given it the appellation “the Blue Cube”.
